Saw that the other day and it's impressive. I used to coach Jake Joyce while he was at Bassett (before he left to go to Carlisle). Glad to see he did well when he went to Cape Cod this past year and hopefully gets a chance to get signed to a minor league team. He's got a good fastball and slider, so that fits in pretty well as a relief pitcher. Just needs to work on a decent change-up to possibly crack into the starting rotation.

I plan to go see VT play Notre Dame this weekend in Cary, NC.

Also, I just saw that the VT wrestling team final ranking is 7th in the nation.

VT beats Radford 14-10 (was 14-3 at one point) to improve to 8-1.

VT beats Rhode Island 7-3, will play Ohio in about half an hour.

Notre Dame impressively shuts out a good Hokie hitting team 3-0. But VT bounces back to beat Tennessee 7-3. Now 11-2 on the season.

Good to see some recognition and progress with the baseball team. The ACC is a beast league. Keep in mind that last year the national #25 would have been the 7th in the ACC after the ACCT.

Aside from Mercer, all of GT's opponents thus far suck bigtime. Akron, St. John's and Rutgers have something like 3 wins combined on the season thus far. If VT can get some decent pitching, I think the Hokies will take the series.

no go on the decent pitching. Lost the first game 1-11 and just lost the second 9-14. At least we were scoring in the second, even going into the 7th inning up 2 (9-7). But the pitching was pretty bad down the stretch.
