I have a friend who lives in Florida and follows High School football and he said Isaiah Ford is a MUST get and Ford and Harrison are two of the best athletes in florida. If we keep Harrison and land Ford we will have some BIG TIME playmakers/Athletes at the WR position. And throw in the other WR's this will be the best haul of WR's ever I think 2-3 legit pros at WR in this class.

Seeing that VT will have more top notch recruits visit this weekend than there were fans at UVA's spring game. Are there predictions for any committments this weekend?

What is the latest on the WR and LB position for this class?

If I had to guess on commitments, I would say Ford and possible Keihn. Maybe a 2015 guy or two. I am not sure. Maybe Sobcziak?

The list is longer than most Spring game lists though, for sure. Be loud, Hokies!!!

Another Isaiah Ford to VT prediction today on 247. I think Ford flips to VT soon

WOW.....more offers than fans for their spring game.

Is that UVA's new idea for boosting attendance?

London: "Hey if we give them an offer, maybe they'll come watch us and it will boost attendance"

Hoofollowing: "Genius.....sheer genius"

Ok, so here's the deal. I talked to our old buddy and the loss isn't great but recruits are not new to losing games. These losses usually have a much bigger effect on fans than actual recruits. They see a rocking crowd, all world defense and a potential to be the missing piece. Andrew Ford and a few of our linemen were there recruiting their asses off

Ironically, some of these 16-17 year olds have a better ability to see the big picture aspect of this than a lot of fans. Translation, the weekend went fine. We are t going to have a mass exodus and we still have good shots with the guys who we had good shots with before the game. I expect a couple commits this week.

I've never understood why people think one loss will sway a recruit. Granted I don't follow recruiting heavily but I try to imagine myself in that situation. And at 17, I would be concerned with A) Am I having a good time? B) How many hotties are around C) Where da party at? D) Football. Maybe I'm wrong but I'd bet the majority of recruits feel the same way. To me the only thing that would sway a recruit's interest in multiple unexpected losses throughout a season, not one game.

One major thing that the kids have that the fans don't is experience. These guys have all played big time HS football (for the most part) and (shocker here) have lost games. They have played bad games. They have lost to teams they should have beaten. They know what it's like. They can see through the immediacy that a lot of fans use. They get a chance to sit with the coaches and have the process explained to them. Football players understand football really well. Some fans don't. It's a perspective thing.

That's a pretty well-reasoned argument. As long as the fans are in the game, which they were this weekend, the recruit gets to see what it's like playing at Lane Stadium.

Lane Stadium seemed pretty dead on TV for the Duke game (by Lane Stadium standards)....and rightfully so. There was not much to get fired up about. Even when Duke is a good team, its hard to get fired up for the Dookies any more than you get fired up for Marshall or ECU.

I thought they seemed pretty fired up after VT scored.

I expect a couple commits this week.

Isaiah Ford seems to be a safe bet with all the 247 guys switching predictions and him finally visiting campus, but can't think of the other "couple" since it seems like most of the other guys are taking multiple officials and whatnot. Guess I'll just have to sit back and wait but hope you're right. :suds:

Melvin Keihn's top 5. Looks to be in order.

Something to watch for this week. LB Brandon Lee is announcing on Friday. I'd say we have a decent shot, but really have no clue. Seems like no one really has the scoop on this kid.
