From what I've read, Javon is pretty solid (per 247). Even though you don't hear a lot about him, sounds like the coaches keep in touch often.

Also per 247, VT was the first staff to call Shai after his injury to let him know that they still wanted him bad. Very classy move and will probably count for a whole lot, if you ask me.

Looks like the ship has pretty much sailed for Izzo -- bright lights in Tallahassee got to him. They're putting the pressure on him to commit. If we can get him to VT again, maybe we climb back into it. But it sounds like he'll be committing soon, probably to the Noles.

Burke is on board. As far as other outstanding offers, Izzo and Enoicy are the only two that I'm aware of, and right now it doesn't look like we land either of them. I'm not too concerned, though, if Burke is the only TE we end up with in this class. It would be nice to have another, but we have a decent group there with Malleck, Cline, Perez-Means, Redman, McCray, and Jackson, all with at least 2 years left. Lots of young guys with limited college reps at TE, still learning and getting better. We should be just fine at TE the next couple years as Malleck comes back and some of the other guys continue to progress.

Looks to be a quality WR. Rated a 3 star by all of the sites and has some good offers.

They're all ACTUALLY Wide Receivers and I don't expect Bradshaw to be a 2* for much longer. It wouldn't surprise me if he climbs into the 4* range.

TE: Xavier Burke may be one of the best TEs that we've landed ever ... (except for Logan Thomas -- TIC). Seems like Kline is the real deal. Agree with hokiegrad: we'd be fine just to land Burke this season I think. Malleck and Kline are both very solid for the next few years. We would probably wanna go after one in '15 too though.

That's too bad. I was really hoping we could get one of him and Brown. The late Cline add makes me feel a little better about it though.

Obviously would have loved to have him, but I think as long as we get 1 TE per class, we're in good shape.

Kinda thought the NJ guys would be a tough pull. Easy for schools like FSU and OSU to talk us down when they are putting up 60+ points a game and we are struggling to put up 20. The only thing that will help in recruiting those guys is a culture change/huge improvement on the offensive side of the ball.

Regardless, I am more interested in pulling the remaining Virginia kids on the board. The Commonwealth needs to be the staff's bread and butter wrt recruiting. You need to be recruiting regionally..but letting kids like Kamara go elsewhere (including Hooville) is much worse than losing out on a Brown or Izzo from OOS. JMO.

Speaking of Kamara...why hasn't he committed yet to CML??

Well Kamara is an odd situation, from what I have heard. He was not as high on our board as a lot of others. This may be due to his location, but I also have heard he is a 7 on 7 superstar and it doesn't always translate to pass on football. I have also heard he is not a UVA lock by any means. Some of the signs that the staff got as he moved HS programs as well just indicated it wouldn't be a great fit here. As far as UVA, some other schools that have offenses more suited to his style are piquing his interest (NC State and Pitt) from what I have been told.
