He looks slimmer than last year but more muscle. He has deceptive speed I would say low 4.6 or so.

i dont have any insider info or anything like that, but i feel like this was an awful year in terms of recruiting to have our worst season in 20 years. i dont see how we sign any of these top 2014 prospects

I would assume most would be encouraged by the down year... as in, they can come in and contribute right away.

Haven't heard much about Thomas. As I am sure you have seen, his 247 profile lists him at 6'6" 298 lbs. (the kind of linemen we need!) and also that WVU is at the top of his list right now. Not sure about any ties his family has to the 'Neers. I don't know, being that VT is an hour up the road can't hurt our chances IMO.

We are in it. Family ties to wvu (dad and sister I believe). He will visit. He was just rated a 3* by 247. I like his video, he is quick out of his snap and finishes his plays. I like VT's chances here even though he has ties to WVU...

Steven Moss was offered by PSU earlier this week and plans to visit USC(E) this weekend for a game. Hopefully he can make it to VT for a game this season, if not the coaches will push for him to visit a few times in the off season. Moss is a very good prospect. He recently visited UVA and liked it.....

Just watched some film on Ricky Walker, dude is a straight up monster. Co worker of mine reffed his game a while back, said he is unstoppable and has a very high motor. Also very good on the OL but he is being recruited on the DL.
