Losing to Garret Gilbert's legs in the most hyped regular season game the AD had ever gotten involved in

1. Dennis Erickson

2. Dirk Koetter

3. Leading the nation in penalty yards from 2009-2011

4. Vontaze Burfict 15 yard personal fouls

5. All the games we lost due to stupid kickers

Alas, young grasshopper, those things barely register.

Loren Wade- Face Murder. Killed his former teammate over a girl. Also NCAA rules violations.

Fright Night- 80some odd year prison sentence for doing everything short of murder repeatedly. Pure evil (and a hell of a safety).

Danny Villa- Pedo

The Streak - Despite generally being as good or better during the time frame, ASU was winless against Arizona for about 10 years in the 80s to early 90s

That time Frank Kush punched his punter. I have often wanted to punch punters, and understand why he would do such a thing, but it wound up with him and the school getting sued and him getting canned

I don't think football ever got caught up in the point shaving though, so there is that.

Wow that one is surprising, I never would have guessed that, I always think ASU has the stronger football and baseball program.

Typically with the Territorial Cup you can throw records and talent out the window unless one team has a clear physical advantage. We're on our way to starting a streak of our own though :yahoo:

ASU is a better football program and typically has been for the last 50 years, but for whatever reason, Arizona was winning the rivalry games.

It started in 1982, when ASU went 10-2 and dumped Oklahoma in the Marcus Dupree bowl game. Only other loss was to 10-2 Washington. Arizona was a mediocre 6-4-1.

In 1986, ASU went 10-1-1 and won the Rose Bowl. Got thumped in Tuscon.

Arizona just had ASU's number. Owned them in the 2 or 3 decades up to it. Have generally owned them since (10-5 in the last 15 years).

Auburn won their game and had to watch Miami jump us and win the NC. 83 is a great example of why we need a playoff because in the BCS era Texas and UN play and one of you wins.

Didn't Texas spank AU at Jordan Hare that year?

1. Losing to UCF in a bowl game following a 6-6 regular season
2. Losing to Vanderbilt and Kentucky in 2006
3. Losing to Florida last year
4. Steve Spurrier routinely killing us. Florida and SC
5. We've had two super stars the last decade and both have been suspended for selling autographs or memorabilia, AJ Green and Todd Gurley.

The constant underachieving is the biggest embarrassment, but I went for embarrassing moments.

For USC, I'd say:

1.) 2012: All of it. That season was so embarrassing it could literally count for all of the top 5. From being ranked #1 at the start of the season and falling apart, to the switched jerseys vs. Colorado, to the original "deflategate" vs. Oregon, to every time Lane Kiffin opened his mouth and topping it off with a loss to Georgia Tech in the Sun Bowl..........just the whole fucking season.

2.) 2013: Losing to Washington St. at home.

3.) 2007: Losing to 41 point underdog Stanford at home (remains the only time I have seen USC lose when I was at the game).

4.) 2006: Losing to a UCLA team that finished 7-6 when a win would have sent us to the NCG.

5.) Did I mention 2012........ALL OF IT???

1. Going 4-7 in '97 (Rout 66 vs. UCLA)
2. Going 5-7 in '10 (lost to ISU......at home, mind you)
3. Taysom Hill running for a thousand yards in 2 games vs our shit defense
4. Losing to fucking Baylor 4 out of the last 5 years.........and those losses have been major beatdowns
5. NOBODY, AND I MEAN NOBODY IS SCARED OF PLAYING AT DKR ANYMORE. We can no longer protect the house. DKR himself is rolling in his grave ashamed......

Honorable mention:

- Sooners pushing our shit in in '00, '03, '11, '12
- Christina Simms choking our shot at the BCS title in '01 with his 4 turnovers in the 1st half vs a CU team we destroyed 41-7 in the regular season
- Blake Gideon dropping an INT my 85 year old Grandma would have caught and ruining our shot at the BCS title in '08
- Watching TCU push our shit in last year
- Gaining 59 yards of total offense vs. Arky last year (the 2nd worst offensive performance in UT history)
- Not being able to recruit a quality QB since Colt left
- Having the worst OC in the country still

Finding out kids had been sexually abused in the lock room by Jerry Sandusky among other things. Any other PSU embarrassments seems so petty now.

I'm just hoping Nick Chubb can break the string of 5 star RB recruits either sucking, getting kicked off the team or getting suspended.

1. Inventing the Split T formation only to be historically bad at defending the run throughout the decades.
2. Having the first openly gay NFL player only to find out that he isn't very good and likes cake
3. Claiming to have the oldest Homecoming game only to break up the rivalry for cash (actually...probably a good thing)
4. Always being the underdog in conference championship games
5. Always living up to being the underdog in conference championship games

The real game embarrassments are on the basketball side where Mizzou was often favored.
