So I'll put you on the list who says Troy Aikman is the FOURTH best QB all time.
Got it.

I don't know about 4th, but he was a champion for sure.....Cool dude too !!!

He has the 4th most SB wins. Since you want to use SBs as the guide I think you HAVE to call him 4th best.

I don't use just SB wins although they are important....Brad, Trent, Plunket, Williams etc were obvious lucky stiffs that weren't supposed to be starters in the first place...
But comparing a losing qb that continued to fail for 14 yrs to a 2 time SB champ is absurd, that's all..
Hey Joe Flacco has more wins in his first 5 yrs as a rookie starter than anyone but Brady, a SB win and MVP and I don't think he's getting in unless he wins another one.....So just say No to Romo…
No offense old buddy !!!!!:D

Finally, something we can agree on. Eli has won far less than Romo did. Glad to see you're coming around.

I see you have a dual personality....

did he win a super bowl? did he win a conference title? no, come again now
You realize you're debating with a guy who's using passer rating as a HOF argument. By that Standard Carson Palmer would be a HOF QB because he had a higher passer rating than Marino. We all know Tebow was a bust. As far as Eli , Romo and actual stats pertaining to HOF. I'll even use Elway an actual HOF Broncos QB

Eli Manning Games 216 ATT 7296 COMP 4424 Yds 51682 TDs 339 INT 228 RATE 83.5
4 pro bowls 2 Super Bowl Championships 2 Super Bowl MVPs

John Elway Games 234 ATT 7250 COMP 4123 Yds 51475 TDs 300 INT 226 RATE 79.9
9 pro bowls 1 NFL MVP 1 Super Bowl Championship 1 Super Bowl MVP

Tony Romo Games 156 ATT 4335 COMP 2829 Yds 34183 TDs 248 INT 117 RATE 97.1
4 pro bowls

Which one is more comparable to the hall of famer ?

You're the one that said Eli lost more than Romo. That's statistically verifiably accurate. Like I said, I'm glad to see you're coming around.

Elway won 2 SBs. You clearly don't know what you're talking about.

Nah did that on purpose . Was curious if you knew what Elway accomplished. I still find it extremely hard to believe Tebow could be any broncos fans favorite QB :dhd:

Now that we've established Elway lost more Super Bowls than Tebow won Play off games. Feel free to compare actual stats. Eli has a much stronger HOF resume than Romo. Not that I would have a problem with Carson Palmer being HOF based on his higher passer rating than Marino.........

Yeah, I bet you did it on purpose. I'm sure you're not just trying to hide the fact that you're an ignoramus.

For a better comparison of why Elway is in the HOF and Eli shouldn't be, Elway went to 5 SBs, whereas Eli's SB seasons are the only ones in which he managed to win a playoff game. In 14 NFL seasons, Manning has reached the playoffs six times and been one and done four times. A model of consistency, he is not.

Uh yeah I'm never going to buy into the Tebow thing.....

And how many Super Bowls has Romo been too?

Blatantly, verifiably false. Romo trounces Eli in every category except for SB wins.
Not according to the stats. Rooms actually not even close. If you add the stats of the players Romo relied on its not even close. Including a dallas TE who is a lock for the HOF......Eli won championships with less. Passer rating is one of the most useless stats in NFL history.Carson Palmer> Dan Marino according to you

Ad Tebow was one season of dumb luck. Theres a reason he's failed everywhere :L

That's fair, his teams won 2 SBs. Take away team accomplishments, who was the better QB?
Marino never won a SB, I'd say he's right there with the best of them, and s whole hell of a lot better than Eli or Romo.

What Tebow thing? You're bringing up Tebow, not me.

And how many Super Bowls has Romo been too?

None. Though to be fair, I'm not making the argument that Romo should be in the Hall of Fame, but that Eli should not be in the Hall.

Including a dallas TE who is a lock for the HOF

Guess a ghost was throwing Witten all those balls.

Go away, troll. You aren't adding anything substantive to this debate.

Right or wrong those SBs weigh heavily with the HOF. I'll say this, at least there is talk about Romo and the HOF, without the SBs, ELI and HOF wouldn't be on the same sentence.
