Like anyone cares! ;)

15 teams, Points. I picked 15th in the snake draft.

C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, MI, CI, OFx4, DH (real) or 2nd C, UT (multi-position player), SPx5, RPx2 (must be closers)

1. Cano
2. Arenado (I know I'm alone on this one, but I guarantee he's the top 3B)
3. Harvey (I"m on board, top five arm)
4. Tanaka (out on a limb risky)
5. Cespedes (DH eligible, but slotted him at U after round 13)
6. Cole (I expect 200 good innings)
7. Marte (if they keep him in the middle of the order, I expect more power/RBI numbers)
8. Pollock (did any of you expect NOT to see him on my team?)
9. Billy H (Betts went right before me, hoping for improvement, REALLY hope they keep him atop the order)
10. Pearce (hoping for 600 AB's and 25+ HR)
11. Semien
12. Grandal
13. Vargas (DH)
14. Taylor (hoping he earns everyday AB's over Werth when Span comes back...not impossible)
15. Gregorius (meh)
16. Clippard (we switched to team bullpens this year, so I have the rights to Doolittle)
17. Mejia (hoping Parnell comes back and takes over)
18. Bauer (if his control is really fixed, watch out!)
19. Jace P. (late bloomer to the starting pool, hope he can run)
20. Cain (a wily vet for my staff)

21. Alex Guerrero (Juan Uribe? really? c'mon Dodgers!)
22. Rodon (we'll see)
23. Billy Burns (how can they not throw him atop the lineup and see what happens?)
24. Everth Cabrera (Gregorius' wrist and Hardy's shoulder made the choice easy)

We add one a day starting tomorrow to round out 27.

Looks like this...
C -Grandal
1B -Pearce
2B -Cano
3B -Arenado
SS -Cabrera
MI -Peterson
CI -Semien
OF -Marte
OF -Pollock
OF -Hamilton
OF -Taylor
DH -Vargas
UT -Cespedes

Guerrero, Burns, Gregorius

SP -Harvey
SP -Tanaka
SP -Cole
SP -Bauer
SP -Cain
A's pen
Mets' pen

Rodon, and I'll round it out with SP, SP, SP

Grabbed Odubel Herrera as my first add.
Grabbed Dan Haren for my second.

This last one is tough... do I go a possibly safe back end guy I csn trust on two start weeks? A guy on the DL until late June? Or close my eyes an add someone because he'll be my first drop anyway?

Trevor Cahill (does Atlanta bring him back to relevance?)
Brett Anderson (nice ballpark/offense, can he pitch 100 innings?)
Chase Anderson (is he a sneaky K guy?)
Cliff Lee (lightning strikes sometimes... do I have the patience to wait?)

Jordan Lyles and J.A. Happ are two I'm looking at as well.

Good lookin' team, and I'm witcha all the way on Arenado. Not a big Cespedes fan, though. Nice pitching staff, especially with Rodon. Cain makes me wary.

As for the last four? Hell, I'd probably take a shot with Brett Anderson. If not Brett, Chase.

Yeah, Cain scares me too. I was aiming for Lackey but he went two picks ahead. :gaah:

I think you could have gotten arenado a few rounds later. I agree with arenado being a top 3b (I think Josh Donaldson will be better) but he's going in the between 60 and 90 in most of my drafts. The first money league I did he went 88.

Not a chance he would gave got to me in the third. 88? 42 is the lowest I've seen him ranked in a points league. Donaldson went 12th overall.

I feel like an idiot. Let Votto go right by me in the 3/4 swing! (Braun too, which is who I was thinking at the time). Managed to get rid of Tanaka straight up for Braun (which scares me, but it's done).

Pearce is killing me. And I'm scared he's gonna start losing more PT. Anyone agree? Or is patience justified here?

I was thinking of offering Harvey and Pearce for Votto and a pitcher back (maybe Cobb or Hutchison)

Obviously, trading for a guy in a hot streak like Votto is not good managing... but his owner wants an Ace. Is it worth the shot?

Anyone who likes Pearce, talk me out of it.

Not gonna be me, I never got the Pearce hype. I do love Harvey, tho. That's a tough spot. Can't swing a deal for a lesser 1B with some upside?

I think I'll have to try. Not sure I want to give up on Harvey.

Sorry. That's Phelps vs Montero. Don't know where I got Gio. As I don't think the Nats would want him pitching for the Marlins. :)

Now I know where I was getting Gio.... he's going against Haren, who I own. So Haren is my other option.

Updated...

Traded Harvey for Tulo. Traded Iglesias and Haren for Hughes (risky). Added Blanks last week for help at 1B, but I'm still looking or a long term answer there. Have Braun on the block, but no takers yet.

C - Grandal
1B - Blanks
2B - Cano
3B - Arenado
SS - Tulo
MI - Semien
CI - Machado
OF - Braun
OF - Hamilton
OF - Marte
OF - Pollock
DH - Cespedes
UT - Herrera

Bench: Guerrero, Van Slyke, Pearce, Kang

SP - Cole
SP - Salazar
SP - Bauer
SP - Hughes
SP - Chase Anderson
RP - A's
RP - Mets

Bench: Beachy, a streamer spot, Gausman (awaiting Bud Norris tonight, might cut bait if Norris does well)

i've been offered Mauer and Aramis for Machado.

I like Mahcado, a lot... but this is pretty good value. Mauer isn't a masher, but he's a hitter and would solve my problem at 1st... thoughts?

I actually kind of HATE your Tulo trade... Points leagues tend to give pitchers more points... And I don't like that you now have Cole as your SP1, with a very weak(even in 15 owners league) 2-5...

You really are banking on salazaar being a fantasy ace...

Really tough at first base. Really tough. I'm a big Machado fan and Mauer's gonna hit, but that's all....most likely. :noidea:

I'm WAY more than fine with Cole as my ace, because that's what he is. Sold a little early on Harvey, but pitchers scare me this year. Not that Tulo isn't scary, but I'm willing. I still have room to add more pitching... if needed.

Harvey: pick 45
Tulo: pick 19

Easy for me.

The Mauer one, not as easy. I think a 20-15 season is coming for Machado...and if he stays atop the lineup? ....How do we think Aramis will be? He's hitting .355 over the last two weeks. I don't want to bite, but....

Might give Blanks another week or two (Moreland's return likely makes Blanks a LHP start only), and gonna see if Colabello gets any run, might add him tonight.
