Some debate about Pau Gasol possible trade talk. Imo it'd depend on who'd need a big for a playoff push and what they'd be willing to give up...

Heard this one on the radio yesterday. It'll never happen, but I think the premise seems to work.

Chris Bosh for Pau Gasol. The idea that the guy who suggested it had, was that Pau would give Miami the low post presence that they lack despite Bosh attempting to provide it.

Bosh would then play an Amare Stoudemire role in D'Antoni's offense. Pau is often lost in D'Antoni's offense because it takes him away from the paint too often and Bosh is often forgotten about it Miami's offense because he is essentially a perimeter player which is something Miami has plenty of.

Also possibly attractive for Miami is that Pau has an expiring contract. If he works out, great. They can re-sign him at a lower amount than they will be paying Bosh. If he doesn't, they simply don't re-sign him and get cap relief to bring in someone else.

Bosh has a manageable contract for the Lakers, he's younger and would fit well in D'Antoni's offense. The Lakers could still afford some good FA's and land another max player after Kobe's contract expires.

Both suck but both would fit the franchise who they're getting traded to better than their current team

:agree: When the guy first said it, I thought; "No way. That's just stupid." But when he explained his logic, it made more sense. I don't think either player sucks, they're just square pegs on their current teams.

Heard that HOU may be trading Asik to the Cavs. Both make sense.

Cavs get an upgrade at C for the same price and HOU will get an expiring contract so tey have room to go after another star in '14.

Bulls really need to add another scorer or just trade players away for picks.

He's been injured. I love his defense cause he's a big time defender but he can't run an offense. Lowry will give you defense, can get to the rack, can run a offense too. It's not that I don't think toney Douglas is good he's ok just can't do much else besides hit a 3 and play great defense. I knew that from the beginning

They need to tank so they can get a top 5 pick and hope Rose is finally able to stay healthy next yr

I'm all for that plan, no need to back into the playoffs as a 6-8 seed and get bounced out early. Just tank.

Yeah, even with a healthy Rose, they need a scorer. Their defense keeps them in every game. If they were just average on offense, they'd be contenders again.

PHX is reportedly willing to trade their picks for a star if the opportunity presents itself.
