Luck is still really in charge, Lyons is a puppet................ What a great day to be a Mountaineer!! WVU sports are really looking good, both basketball teams are peaking at the right time, especially the ladies!!! The men can win this tourney with hard, smart play, feeling pretty optimistic!

The piece of shit baseball coach Luck hired just went on the road and defeated #10 Baylor for the 2nd time in two days to take the 3 game series. They go for the sweep tomorrow.

Luck fucked up big time with all of his hires.

Lyons runs the athletic department like that loser in Stillwater. Thankfully, Luck secured Huggs for a lifetime contract and helped secure Dana's future with his guaranteed contract. We don't have to go through the drama Holder has created at Okie St. LOL!!

Everything in Stillwater is run by Boone Pickens, period, the AD REALLY is a puppet there!!!

Sadly, the WVU women fail to get to the 2nd weekend of the NCAA once again.

When will enough be enough? Under Lyons, we should expect better execution of program awareness. Carey was one of Eddie P's hires... so, there should not be a loyalty issue here.

Which coaches did Luck hire, oh that's right, .........and a mediocre baseball coach. Our WINNING coaches were hired by Pastilong, Luck did NOTHING to help those teams. His big "help" for basketball was to rearrange the seating to alienate long time ticket holders and fleece more $ from the fans.

Man I'm starting to believe you are a troll as I said earlier Baseball could be no better in Morgantown.

At the midpoint of its 54-game schedule, the West Virginia baseball team sits No. 9 in the RPI.

Gold & Blue Lunch: Baseball sports top-10 RPI

Mediocre baseball coach, man you just can't make this shit up........

Bad Example! Van Zant would have had this team unbeaten at this point in the season!

Basinga! You know Luck (all hail the king) wanted a fresh start going into the Big 12. Now just stop it.

We're all wrong, Dandy Don is who built these programs by God, not the AD's..

Success at WVU in 2016-17 is proof that Don Nehlen’s legacy transcends football
Success at WVU has been a work is progress, with MANY people contributing. Each and every AD, coach and athlete has brought us farther. Think about the football progression, Southern Conference, IND, BE, B12, each move had discussion both ways, both had valid points. Building New Mountaineer Field, rather than adding a top deck to OMF was, to me, the biggest move made to be in the limelight, without that new stadium, Nehlen would not have come, and we would not have won all those high profile games, starting with OU in 1982, we wouldn't have been in the BE, and sure wouldn't be in the B12 now!! Basketball, I call BS on his pouring piss on the BE, both men and women's basketball, there has never been a basketball league as strong as the BE was after the ACC raid!!!! WVU sports are in great shape and winning today due to a lot of hard work by a lot of people, for some to sit here and belittle our past is to also belittle our future!!!

Dick Martin was the AD who fired Frank Cignetti and hired Don Nehlen. He was the AD who got the new stadium built. Many of the old-timers in Morgantown and surrounding areas were like DAD... they didn't want to spend money on a new stadium... there was nothing wrong with the current one. Just needed to add an upper tier to the Sunnyside side of the stadium.

Frank was a good coach in a bad situation. Poor facilities. Crumbling old stadium with a worn out turf.

Kind of similar to what Dana walked into....

That is the biggest load of BS I have ever read.....Holgorsen walked into one of VERY few teams who had won nine games every season for a while, he walked into one of the best QBs to ever wear a WVU uniform, an established defensive staff and unit, an AD completely on his side, what a load of crap. You look more ridiculous with each post you make.....

Cignetti was in over his head, look at the roster of kids he had brought in, look at the talent that was on the field in 1979, yet Cignetti could not win........you are correct in one thing, just like Holgorsen, Cignetti couldn't coach the talent he had, ridiculous!

Frank was not in over his head. He was a great coach. He simply had nothing to work with and was fired before he had a chance to coach the players he recruited... instead of those left over.

Nehlen was given that luxury.

There is a reason Cignetti ended up in the HOF.

Great point! How many scholarship players did he inherit from the 9 win coach?

What kind of practice facility did he have? Weight room? Locker room? Meeting room? Indoor practice facility?

Let's not forget he had crap coaches offices. Hell... he couldn't even let the kids practice tackling because of the limited number of players available. Didn't have enough QB's for practice... he had to throw to his WR's.

You really need to stop...

Guy was 17-27 at WVU, that aint great. BTW weren't you one of those guys that gave Doc zero credit for doing well at Marshall and now you say a coach that won a lot of games at a glorified high school program is great? That's odd.

Ollie Luck described what kind of team was left for Nehlen at about the :48 second mark of this video:

Sounds to me like Nehlen came in and gave Franky C's recruits a good ol fashioned attitude adjustment.

HUH, just like we are now, can't practice the QB at full speed because of lack of depth..
I guess you would think Cignetti taking Bowden's 9-3 team and going 5-6, 5-6, 2-9, 5-6 would be viewed as success, judging by how you see Holgorsen......Cignetti became a great DIV 2 coach, but was hardly a good coach at the DIV1 level, it is a whole different animal, coaching football is one thing, handling the political garbage at a big school is another thing. Strange that Bowden won with such crappy facilities, isn't it? Strange that Fraud won with the offices and facilities that you use as a lame ass excuse for Holgorsen.....stop, just stop, Holgorsen is learning more each year, but he is NOT a top coach, is not a good recruiter, we will see in the next couple years if he keeps learning, or steps backward.
