What I find strange is that Lonzo continues to rely heavily on 3 point shots. IIRC, he took 7 shots in their last game. 6 of them were 3 pointers. Why isn't he taking more short or mid range jumpers or driving to the basket, ever?
Constantly missing 3s can't possibly be helping his game.

But that is how he played last year at UCLA.

I forget the exact number -- but it was something like only 2 buckets made (out of about 10 shot) through about 15-20 games at UCLA that were not either a layup or a 3-pointer.

I would say that it is also because he doesn't seem to like to handle the ball a lot. He prefers quick distributions so he doesn't even get the non-shooting fouls like a reach in because he dishes the ball so quickly.

I'd also say that because of how low his release point is, it's got to be harder to get his shot off mid-range.

As with Shaq, teams will need to be careful that they don't do it so much that he gets a rhythm. From what I heard about last night, he was 12 for 24 in the 4th quarter, which is terrible, but he apparently hit something like 6 of his last 8.

Teams would do that to Shaq to get back into the game, but then they'd keep doing it, he'd get a rhythm and it would end up possibly costing them the game.

Embiid is probably out tonight. And this is their 3rd game in 4 days. So I'm expecting the Celtics to thrash the Sixers tonight. Should be fun to watch though.

They looked beat in the 4th quarter. Interesting change for Boston is putting Morris on the second team. Simmons looks smooth and is deceiving fast. He does remind me of Lebron.
