Really had an enjoyable evening, although the way the game started and ended wasn't so great. Saw a lot of really good plays and strokes.

What was everyone's take on Beltre getting thrown out at 1st when it looked like, at least to us in the stands, he was either loafing or he flat can't run to 1st? We had wonderful seats too, 19 rows back, just to the right of home plate. So we had a perfect view of the play, and everyone around us was taken aback.

Ross obviously looked as awful live as he did on the tube. But in fairness, most guys who come back after no activity for over a year can look great one game and horrid the next for a while.

On the radio before the game yesterday, they said the calf is still bothering him and he is trying to play thru it.
