Mike is coaching for a job one way or another this season. Riley has more of an aggressive mindset than Bob did the second half of his time at OU. Will be interesting to see if he tells Mike to turn the dogs loose and we'll live with it if we get beat occasionally. I feel like the name of the game in defense anymore is turnovers and scoring defense. The last two years we've seen two top flight defenses give up over 40 points in the championship games to one another. You can't always stop these elite offenses when they're clicking, but you can swing the momentum with turnovers, defensive scoring, and getting to the quarterback. This bend but don't break defense is bull shit.

It's been months since it's release, but I'm still annoyed that the Big XII is playing a conference championship game, while playing a round robin schedule.

Very funny! I'm excited to see where this rivalry goes with each team having new head coaches. We all know what Tom Herman brings to the table, and as for Lincoln Riley, he is a heck of good coach and he has a solid coaching staff with him to assist him. I think the hire of Riffin McNeil has a great addition.

I still would like to see the conference expand by two teams in the near future, and not because it's trying to replace teams that are leaving the conference. With that being said, I think Colorado State and Memphis would be a good fit. Colorado State gives the conference a share of the Denver market and Memphis brings the city of Memphis, money from FedEx, and finally gives a travel partner for ol' West Virginia.

The reason why I'm high on Memphis is because they have a solid / average basketball and football teams, and FedEx would break the bank to get the Tigers into a P5 conference. I guess I can add USF or UCF as an option other than Colo State.

Contrary to what most media / fans believe, I think the Big XII will be around for the long haul. I do believe the CF Playoffs will indeed expand to 8 teams once the initial contract expires.
