The Kings are just demolishing everyone, it's hard to pick against them... Kings in five?

I will say this: if Marty wins a fourth Cup? Best goalie of all time, and you can't change my mind.

I hate the Kings but I think theyll take it.
I agree with the lady.
well, i don;t HATE the Kings, but Brown is really pissing me off with his marginal hits and dives when he gets touched.
and I do so enjoy Brad Doty's tantrums.
and Jack Johnson sucks, and that stench is still in the building.
Devs can grind and slow the game down. We'll see.
That was the Blues' bread and butter. granted, the Devils are a much more experienced (and battle hardened) team, so they should be able to stick with it better than the Blues did.
Cup finals will be between a 6th seed and an 8th seed. The best example of parody in the NHL.
freudian slip?

couple of other thoughts:
- it is so odd to see Steve Bernier being an effective player, and throwing big hits.
- Jeff Carter: 4 goals in 18 minutes per game; Ryan Carter: 4 goals in 8 min/game
- Claude Giroux held the playoff scoring lead for 18 days after his season was over.
- I am developing a man-crush on Adam Henrique. Don't tell Kreider though, he'll be jealous.

the case against parity

Nine NHL teams haven't played a single playoff game the last three years. Not much parity there. (Four are Canadian teams.)

Don't forget: The team that beats the team that beats San Jose is the Stanley Cup Champion (something like 80-85% of the time since the franchise existed). That says Kings.

Lets be honest, that really doesnt count with the lack of goaltending between Pitt and Philly

In all honesty, I think the week off hurts the Kings more than it helps them. They haven't played enough games to need a ton of rest and when you're as hot as they are you want to continue playing the hot hand so I'm curious to see how they respond to it.

Sure Quick has been great, but that Brodeur guy has played halfway decent as well and has been here before.

Not to mention the Devils 4th line basically won them the first series and this series. I'll take the Devils depth over the Kings in a heartbeat.

Should be an interesting series.

Yeah, it reminds me of when Theo Fleury put up 14 points in a first-round loss once because he was shooting on Irbe and Flaherty for 7 games.

Kings 4th line has been pretty beastly too.
Dwight King 5 goals, Trevor Lewis 1G + 5A

between these two teams and Boston lat year, it just highlights how crucial having a productive 4th line (that you can trust to play) is to win when the going gets tough.
