YESSSS, I couldn't be happier. This is almost as good as when the Bears signed Cutler to a long term deal. Those guys are always the MVP for the Pack when we play them. Great news for all Pack fans.

I like Stafford a lot, always have. No way he deserves to get a payday like that. But he's worth whatever a team will pay him. In the case of Detroit, they need to sweeten the pot to keep quality players.

On a more serious note, Stafford is 29, in the prime part of his years, and the Lions simply have no other option at QB to compete for a playoff spot. Sure it's a LOL fest in Detroit and the Lions stand zero chance of dethroning Seattle, GB, Atlanta, or any of the NFC East teams, but that shouldn't keep them from signing their signal caller to a long term deal.

B- grade. Overpaid, but no other option. Stafford is still a top 15 signal caller.
