I would rather have Katel Marte back than Haniger

I believe he was one of the Mariners pieces that went to Arizona when we acquired Haniger originally a few years ago the first time

He, Chris Taylor and Brad Miller were all the guys that Jerry saw and said na, you gone. Miller didn’t go on to become a star or anything but he has been better than any 2B that the M’s have had since Cano.

And Marte was basically straight up for Haniger. Walker got Segura.

I've received word from a source that #Mariners prospect Cole Phillips, acquired in the Jarred Kelenic trade with the Braves in December, underwent a second Tommy John surgery a few weeks ago and is expected to miss the entirety of the 2024 season as well as a portion of 2025.

And the team docs didn't notice the problem?
