Independent Baseball League Adopts New Rules To Speed Up Games.

Umpires will be directed to enforce Rule 6.02 and Rule 8.04, related to hitters stepping out of the box and pitchers delivering the ball within 12 seconds when the bases are unoccupied.

Please let particular one come to MLB someday. The broadway show that so many players put on stepping in and out of the box and fiddling with their batting gloves/stretching/etc after each pitch is ridiculous.

It's gotten better since Knoblauch's time (I just say him because he was one of the most ridiculous), but it's still just a ton of wasted time today.
