I know the M's haven't played good at all this year but it still feels like they might be in it if not for Rodney.

Rodney looks stupid, and still can't pitch without giving up a home run.

Awful pitch From Rodney but if it wasn't him it would have been someone else. The Blahfense wasn't scoring

It's National Ice Cream Day, and I'm sure LMC will take all of the losers out for some Shake Shack while they're in NYC.

I don't have a problem with bunting to get the runner over, but considering that Zunino was on deck and strikes out 36% of the time, and only gets a hit 16% of the time, yeah it was a stupid move.

Exactly... Plus he replaces the guy who had gotten on base all 3xs today...

Decisions based on stats from over 3 years ago. Your so great Lloyd

And Lloyd didn't go with Lowe the other day vs ARod because his stats said the same thing so Beimel gives up the winning HR instead.

Goodie I'm excited to see mediocre LoMo continue. His 2nd to last OPS among first baseman is a good reason to not give Montero a fair shake

He should be out there every time a lefty is on the mound. He has a career line of .312/.366/.448 against them.

DH should be split between Montero and Seth Smith.

I don't disagree - I just can't see that the management of this team will turn over their campaign against having him in the majors. So, until Z and McL are gone, Montero won't be given much more of a chance @ MLB level.

Depressing that the organization just wastes roster spots. Montero deserves to be playing for the Mariners. How beneficial to Zunino would it have been had they just stuck with Montero at C instead of screwing him up by switching him back and forth between C and DH.

montero would not have been a catcher with any organization

but like all of you, i don't understand the logic in sending him down

Montero was never going to be a catcher. That makes how the organization handled the situation in 2013 a head scratcher. It screwed up Monterp and probably screwed up Zunino too by rushing him. Just par for the course for the way this organization handles young players.
