Stats only show he's allowed 3 balls get past him... Tied for the 5th best in MLB... He's also #2 in MLB in throwing runners out...

He is also ranked 8th out of 18 qualifying catchers in catching ERA. That is not acceptable for a .165 hitting catcher.

You don't think Montero would like to show NY what they're missing? Would've been a good stage to do so, imo...

Probably but The Yankee series would've been a great stage for him to get a good look at him... Would've been a great story if Montero played well against Pineda w/ the M's getting the win...

Montero will not get another significant look at the majors with the current leadership of the team, just won't happen.

It must be nice to be a yankee pitcher and get the extra help from the umpires EVERY FREAKING GAME, CC just throws inside to right handed batters and doesn't even need to hit the plate. Felix does the same and its a ball.

Yeah 4 strike outs in a row for CC, but 2 of those were bs.

As i say that Felix gets a strike out on a ball well below the plate. go figure

I don't have a problem with bunting to get the runner over, but considering that Zunino was on deck and strikes out 36% of the time, and only gets a hit 16% of the time, yeah it was a stupid move.

I've been screaming about it all year. It seems worse than ever.

The K zone was supposed to make things better but it seems completely useless because things are getting worse. MLB needs to change this.

Montero will not get another significant look at the majors with the current leadership of the team, just won't happen.

He should be out there every time a lefty is on the mound. He has a career line of .312/.366/.448 against them.

DH should be split between Montero and Seth Smith.

Safe to say that is the end of the game. The back end of that Yankee bullpen is just too damn good, that was probably the best opportunity the Mariners had to score.

Interesting read from the boston globe on the strike zone, I think 2015's numbers will be even worse. I think its expanding to the sides as well as down this year.
