They knew it was a shady practice and want it stopped. You're right, but it explains a lot. They don't want to have that kind of competition among themselves.

Wow. Whatever you are doing to kill off your brain cells. Stop immediately. You can't afford to lose anymore. If it doesn't hurt Michigan it's because you get shitty recruits in general that Alabama doesn't want.
Let me know when you realize Michigan isn't the only place Michigan recruits, or that Alabama isn't the only place Alabama recruits.

And the one school in the B1G who would be opposed to sattelite camps is..........OSU. Why? Not because they are "shady", but because the state of Ohio has quality recruits and they don't have another major university in Ohio. So having SEC schools having camps could hurt recruiting. They knew it was a shady practice and want it stopped.
Show me where I said ANYTHING about the SEC's rules. You do know the difference between conference rules and NATIONAL rules.Says the guy who thinks a rule put in place almost 10 years ago was done in response to Michigan and satellite camps last year.

Everyone is saying the exact same thing. The only people who don't. SEC fans. Would you like me to post all the articles for you?You continue to make claims about the reason why the SEC is doing things. The SEC rules are proof you are full of shit.
Have you looked at the roster? Meyer gets many from down south and tries for more than he gets. And the one school in the B1G who would be opposed to sattelite camps is..........OSU. Why? Yeah. And why is that? I know he coached somewhere before OSU. Where was it?Have you looked at the roster? Meyer gets many from down south and tries for more than he gets.
Bowling GreenYeah. And why is that? I know he coached somewhere before OSU. Where was it?
I'm guessing the light bulb finally lit why Urban Meyer does so well in the south recruiting, especially florida? Same goes for Harbaugh in California.Bowling Green
I dont see Meyer doing that shady shit to get into Cali or TX.I'm guessing the light bulb finally lit why Urban Meyer does so well in the south recruiting, especially florida? Same goes for Harbaugh in California.
Are you figuring out why he has hired some high school coaches in recruiting hot beds? New Jersey is the #1 state for FBS recruits based on the number of schools in state. They have Rutgers and that's it. Hire Partridge and in one year he is named the national recruiter of the year. Another state with a lot of recruits and not a lot of options is Maryland (we offered Poggi a job in recruiting), Florida is so flush with talent, it doesn't matter they have so many schools (devin Bush could be joining the staff), Alabama has a ton of talent, we hired a coach from Prattville and already have two recruits from Alabama.
Connections in those states go a long, long way. Once you get your foot in the door, you can further connections elsewhere in that state.
When your school isnt located in a big recruiting area, those are the things you do to build relationships
Urban happens to coach in a talent rich state for high school recruit already.I dont see Meyer doing that shady shit to get into Cali or TX.
Only 9 out of 25 from Ohio.Urban happens to coach in a talent rich state for high school recruit already.
It isn't a secret. Ohio has always had a deeper pool of football recruits than Michigan.Only 9 out of 25 from Ohio.
And dont blame Meyer that Ohio is better than Michigan.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why the SEC wants them banned. It has nothing to do with shady. The SEC is the shadiest conference in the NCAA. They don't want coaches from others conferences building relationships in SEC country.
It is the SAME reason why Urban Meyer doesn't want them either. Ohio is one of the best states in the north to recruit from and they get it all to themselves.
When you have won national championships. You will have success recruiting anywhere. How do you explain Saban's success in California?
So grey shirting, medical hardship, oversigning, special admission for athletes who don't meet the minimum requirement, text book scandals, academic scandals, numerous and numerous times being caught for impermissible benefits to recruits. So that's why the SEC banned them so many years ago? They didn't want SEC coaches building relationships in SEC territory(or elsewhere across the country)?
