I know this won't sit well with some. But for the life of me, I can't think of a good reason for Darvish to want come back here, despite the fact he has enjoyed his time here. At least according to most.

IF he pitches well the rest of the season, the Rangers won't pay that freight. There is that to begin with.

But from a Darvish perspective, just can't imagine he'd want to pitch here in 2018.

I don't blame Beltre for not wanting to be a part of a rebuilding plan and despite what JD wants to admit this team needs just that. This coming offseason needs to include some trades that will enable us to restock our upper levels of of farm system. Beltre, Hamels and Choo should be traded and AA or AAA pieces added. Personally, I would not be opposed to Odor being traded and letting Profar start at 2B all year long. My goal for 2019 would be.

The position players above along with Robinson, Rua, Chirinos/Nicholas would make up the lineup next year. Maybe throw in an OF signed to a one or two year deal who can be traded if need be.
