Man am I sick of having to come up with snarky GTD titles, just win a freaking game already.

Pretty sad 7 weeks ago they were cruising along and now on Jan 31 they're clinging to a WC spot. Reminds me of 2005-06 when on Jan 1 they were first in the WC but by season's end missed the POs entirely, went on a massive 11-12 game losing spree to finish April and led it to the full blown house cleaning of Al Murray, Taylor, Andy Murray and even the trash people.

Maybe that's needed again because we saw what the next regime did.

Got home from flag football practice abiut 530pm, first season for both boys after 5 years of solely tackle whixh they'll do again in the fall. Had to warn them not to decleat anyone, it's not the same sons.

Prepping dinner so I missed both goals, interesting because Grundstrom was the whipping boy in the comments on Teh Blog today going 20+ games without a goal. Just saw the replay of Turcotte's goal, long time in the making but nice shot.

Dreaded second period and 2 goal lead, hope they don't fall apart here.

Nickson just said "...and then the insurance goal by Turcotte" after commenting on how Rittich made some SH saves earlier this period.

Having a solid game. Interesting how they babied Buster along but Turcotte has been an immediate impact.

On one of those TSN podcasts apparently Arty Retardy is seeking a new home. Wouldn't be surprised to see him moved at the TDL if even for a draft pick.

Don't think they'll recoup the 2nd they spent on him though, 3rd at best, maybe a project prospect for the pipeline if it's a one for one deal. Not going to get anything more than a B6 NHL player for him which the Kings have plenty of and don't need except a big C4 but he won't net that alone.

Turcotte looked real good, hope he van stay healthy - that's the issue.

Things got a little dicey there when the Preds made it 3-2, they hit three posts in the third alone. Could have easily lost this game but glad the Kings got a much needed win. Still 14 losses in the last 17 ain't good.

In a way the timing of the bye week and ASG stinks, would have been nice to see if they could carry that win onto the next game in a day or two, but maybe the break will be good for them. I know Kopitar is banged up, some rest for the old man should be good. I still don't understand why Teh Todd plays him and Doughty 72 minutes a night at their age and miles, Dunno and PLD were supposed to take that load off him.

What I'm dreading is the return game, it's against McJesus and Co. right off the bat. That will be a game they look at as a fresh slate and get on a roll towards the POs, or they will get steam rolled and the wheels will come off entirely headed towards April.
