I personally agree with her being ranked way too high but some people seem to love her. I almost think she "made it" because of people's hate for Sarah Plain. Some people loved her Palin skits to the point that they think it was actually Palin who said that stuff when they remember back to it.

It's not so much hate as that her portrayal of Palin just utterly nailed it.. Yep. A better Palin than Palin.

So great satire and a real effect on the 2008 campaign. That's pretty damn good for any comedian. 3 might be high but she's been on roll lately.

She's not unfunny, but you're right. It seemed like after the Sarah Palin thing people were talking her up as some once in a lifetime comedic genius. Still don't understand the obsession some people have with her.

I expected her to be way too high, especially after reading the first few entries in the list. The one I really don't get is Kristen Wiig. Possibly the least funny person I've ever seen on that show. Every time she'd show up on screen I felt embarrassed for her. It was cringe-inducing most of the time. But apparently she's "one of a kind" according to the author of this article.

Like I said though, Rolling Stone is pretty much a joke and this whole list looks like it was just an opinion piece thrown together to get clicks. Looks like it worked.
