We've seen Cook look great, even if just for a few games. We haven't seen Barkley be anything. (I don't care what a back does in Pre Season really. Zenner led the league in rushing one year.)

Barkley this far has one 39 yard run and four other runs toalling 4yards

I would take him after Johnson, Bell, and Gurley, no doubt. You know he will be starter RB1 caliber with the upside of best back in the league. Nobody after the top three offer that kind of security.

It's Rookie QBs and WRs that you shouldnt place big expectations on

Barkley I believe will be great, the Oline is greatly improved, he will absolutely dominate touches on the ground and in the air

I think the big question is do you risk taking him ahead of AB and Kamara? Or do you slot him more in the 7-10 range?

Most of the rookie RBs that win leagues for people are not taken in the first round. You either get someone like Hunt, who went in the 4th round range last year or Kamara, who went late or undrafted and was picked up on the ww. If you get 1st round production from a later round pick, while still getting first round production from your first round pick, THAT is the formula for a championship team. Championships are won in the middle and late rounds and on the wire. Not in the first round.

I do. I would start considering him from 1.9 on, feel he’s in the tier with Gordan, Fournette, Hunt and Cook. All these RBs have concerns. If one of the top three WRs fell to 1.9 I would probably draft them , then hope that one of the RBs in the tier I mentioned falls to me in round 2.

I think saying something like..potential to be the best back in the NFL, or, could eventually possibly be the best..I'm sure most wouldn't laugh at. But to say he could be as a rook without a single meaningful snap..is pretty laughable..especially with DJ, Bell, Zeke, Gurley all in their primes still.
