A deflated football would be easier to throw and catch in poor weather conditions than a properly inflated ball.

Brady was 13-25, so it sure helped the passing game. NOT.

Would that not make it easier for Luck and his receivers as well?

Ok so lets say that the balls had been deflated. Would that explain why Luck was not able to complete passes and Brady was or did the master cheater Belicheat somehow make it that only the balls used by Colts had been deflated..or was it the Pats they used them. Raining so a deflated ball would be easier to grip???

Not we have ballgate lmfao

You are completely missing the point. Sorry, but I don't have time to walk you through why. You gotta figure that out yourself.

If the Patriots did indeed tamper with any footballs, it would have happened during the game. According to the NFL rulebook, the home team sends 12 official game balls to the referees to be tested two hours and 15 minutes before the game starts. The balls then remain under a referee’s supervision until they are delivered to a ball attendant just before kickoff. NFL rules stipulate that each football must have an air pressure between 12.5 and 13.5 pounds per square inch.

So they were weighed and the 2nd kick-off began the Patriots deflated them? Though that would explain the long pause to start the 2nd half when the announcers said it was because it was the wrong ball being used.

Here's the actual rule from the NFL rulebook: The home club shall have 36 balls for outdoor games and 24 for indoor games available for testing with a pressure gauge by the referee two hours prior to the starting time of the game to meet with League requirements. Twelve (12) new footballs, sealed in a special box and shipped by the manufacturer, will be opened in the officials' locker room two hours prior to the starting time of the game. These balls are to be specially marked with the letter "k" and used exclusively for the kicking game.

Given that..how did the Pats accomplish the allegation? Pure bullshit once again.

Deflating a ball is not so hard as many people seem to think - assuming the valve is similar to the one used in soccer balls - IIRC back then we simply deflated the ball by putting a needle in the valve. Could easily be done on the side-line by the equipment guy in seconds out of sight of everyone. The bigger problem is making sure the deflated ball(s) will only be in possession of your own side, and not in the hands of the opposing QB. Not sure about the game mechanics, but even that might be quite easy to do.

Eric Mangini was hiding behind the bench with a valve stuck up his ass.

So the 17 year old ball boys are in on the conspiracy? Maybe the NFL should take away their video game privileges.

At least jelly will have an excuse for how poorly Luck played.

Nah cause each team uses their own balls, they bring. Luck needs to get right with the Amish and get unshunned. and then his playoff td/int ratio will improve

Let's just have fun with this one guys. Deflated-ball gate. Patriots used deflated footballs to give their team the edge beating the Colts 45-7.
