Just so that I'm clear, any team that "needs" a QB, or, any other weak or absent position player thatcrounds out their roster, should NOT Draft a player that fills the particular "need" opting instead to draft the mythical BPA even when that player doesn't fill these holes.
Is this correct?

Well what happens when the BPA plays the same position round after round or worse, year after year?

His agent better be convincing because anything other than a 2nd rounder and he stays in WASH for another year. He is 31 years old, 7x PB and a top 3 OT. He commands a 2nd rounder in return. Not for what he has done, but simply that is his value. Take nothing less.

The ask must be in line with the offer from Cleveland one year ago. They offered multiple mid-round selections.
Washington would be smart to ask for a 2nd, 3rd and 4th, knowing that it's a rather big ask, then settling for that 2nd and perhaps one of the other selections. The main target being that 2nd rounder.
