I feel like there are two doors with Cousins. One where he is a little worse than Keenum was last year because lots of things went right last year and maybe Cousins struggles in the red zone. Or possibly that the Vikings are so good that they get too many first half leads and they don't need Cousins to produce in the second half.Don’t know about that. Sure he is better than Keemun. But that is irrelevant. The question is will he be better than Keenum’s career best season.
We often believe that just because player a is better than player b that means player a will always be better than player b. But that is just not true.
Really, cousins will be lucky to have as good of a season as Keenum did last year.
The other door is that he challenges top fantasy QB in the league with a ridiculous number of weapons. I'm not sure I'm there with that.
The later stages of that Vikings schedule is really easy. Vikings have had a top 10 D in DVOA the last 2 seasons. I wouldn't be shocked if they pumped the brakes at the end of the season a little bit and just ran the ball a bunch. (I know you shouldnt speculate on schedule strength....but....welcome to the internet)
I like Cousins more as a football player than a Fantasy Football player but if you're getting rockstars at RB and WR and settle on Cousins as a QB1 then thats not too bad. I wouldn't reach for Cousins.
