Which young QB would you most want your team to have for the long haul? I put in all of the first-round picks of the last two years.

Burrow still for me. But hard to argue against Herbert with how he has performed.

...Lawrance will catch up by this time next year to these guys I bet. Different type of QB but is going to be good still. People are overreacting to the turnovers a touch right now.

Herbert and Burrow are clear of the field for now. Might be more interesting to pick the best of the rest.

Burrow is 2 to 2.5 years older than Lawrence and Fields respectively. If you're a coach, you want Burrow because he is more ready to win right now. If you're a fan...I'd probably go Lawrence even though Jacksonville will ruin him. Herbert is the goldilocks pick

Mac Jones is the Carson Wentz/Jared Goff of this conversation taking place 4 years ago IMO.

It is kind of funny how people always look at rookie QB's and think they are going to get a lot better than they are right now. It actually isnt the case more often than not. And in fact some QB's regress from where they were when they 1st come into the league from the simple standpoint that they become jumpy and gun-shy from the constant pressure they see in the pocket.

Jones walked into a pretty good situation. He has a good OL in front of him, a team that runs the football a lot and proper weapons to fit the offense that he is running. And most importantly it is virtually a new offense that he is running as this isnt what New England was running last year because they had Cam and they didn't have the dual TE's. It means that the NFL hasn't figured out the proper defenses to play against him and this offense yet. I think we are going to see him struggle quite a bit down the stretch this year.
