Yasiel Puig is hitting .500 with four homers and a 1.453 OPS through eight career games and Dodgers fans are snatching up everything they can with his name on it.
Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports that “the Dodgers sold more Puig-related merchandise from Thursday to Sunday than they had ever sold of any player over a four-day period.”
According to Hernandez that total includes 2,000 t-shirts at $28 a pop and 600 jerseys, which sell for either $225 or $110. So, doing some rough math, the Dodgers sold about $200,000 worth of Puig stuff in four days.

Did anyone hear Vin's opinion of Puig after Street set him down on three pitches? Essentially he said that pitchers are starting to figure this guy out.

In this game pitchers will figure out hitters eventually and the good hitters make adjustments. We will see if Puig does that or not.

Let's hope Puig carries the Dodgers past the Giants a lot over the coming years!!

Puig don't need no stinking strikes to get his hits.

Puig reminds me a lot of the late, great Roberto Clemente and he's stronger than Clemente was. The comparison does not mean I consider Puig as good as Clemente. Clemente was the best RF I've ever watched and even Puig doesn't have Clemente's arm.

But, maybe having Puig will make up a little for the Dodgers losing Clemente to the Pirates all those years ago.

With Puig, you just never know what to expect except that whatever it is, it's usually really good.

You say Clemente. I say Vlad Guerrero. With the "right" answer probably being a combo of the 2 (Athletic, great arm, hit for avg & power & never saw a pitch they did not like, or could not hit)

I believe he will continue to shine and that the Dodgers have found one of the best position players they have ever had. He has really sparked this club and there is no reason things are going to change.

Puig should be an All-Star and one day, not this year, he will win the MVP Award. The only thing that can stop him is injury.

His first 27 games sure has been impressive, and the team has been 16-11 with him playing... Assuming the dodgers keeep the pace of winning with Puig on the team the will be 87-75... That may make the playoffs... If it does it will be fair to claim that it was thanks to Puig...

The only thing that worries me about Puig and his amazing start to his career is that he has only walked 4 times in 112 PA while striking out 22 times...
