great news for Irish they came in at 5. thisbis awesome news. Like most thought win out and we are in. Lets go Irish. im so fired up. Polls see that the Irish has had a tough schedule and our 1 loss was a heart breaker and actually isnt a big negative.

Lets go Irish.

and out played them(stat wise). I think they saw that and a rematch 1(clemson) vs 4(ND) at a neutral site would be fun. I think the Committee knows we would of beat them if at home or on a neutral site and also non sloppy conditions.

The Clemson Notre Dame game reminds me a lot of the Notre Dame Florida State game (from last year)

1 difference we didn't get much love after that game. I feel that this Committee feels Clemson is for real.

Yeah TCU losing helps plenty eliminates one of the three undefeated Big 12 teams, so now only two left and I don't think Baylor or Oklahoma State will win out.

Also Michigan State losing eliminates another undefeated team although it won't jump Notre Dame in the rankings, LSU losing should.

notre dame should be number 4 Tuesday evening. LSU will be out and I don't see anyone jumping Notre Dame. They dominated a good Pitt team on the road. Everyone on the committee knows the score was a lot closer then the game

What a season by this team. i give the players and coaching staff a lot of credit. Also Great job by Kelly. He is easily Top 5 HC in college football. I know he does some stupid things but all coaches do. We just see it more because we watch every game.

Im very proud of this team and now lets go Finish the job. On to Wake.

I agree with the article and I just think the Big 12 is going to beat up on one another and end up with all one loss or more teams.

On the face of things as they stand, I don't think we have a problem getting in if we win out.

As long as Clemson does as well. A loss by Clemson could hurt us a bit but I think it'd depend on the nature of the loss should they even have one. One thing I thought yesterday watching that game, which was a good one by the way, that Clemson did look beatable. Not easily but I think we can beat them. If we should get a rematch I'm really pysched to see BK would do differently in such a game. I think if he had to do it over again there'd be a couple things he'd change, especially with adjustments. I'm not sure who else I think would beat Clemson, OSU could probably give them a good game, Bama too. I'd be curious to see Baylor with their QB face Clemson, that'd be an interesting matchup. I don't think a Clemson loss would hurt us as much though, because LSU looks one dimensional on offense, whereas we don't. Bama shutting down that Run game exposed LSU, they have so little to offer in the pass-game that they just couldn't keep pace at all. The adjustments were little if any by Miles too. Can't Fournette catch the ball? Not one pass to him that I saw. They loaded the box and LSU kept running right into it, or throwing incompletions.

We win out, are we in? Assuming the Big12 all has a loss.

If Clemson goes undefeated I think so for the most part.

Oklahoma might be a little trouble if it's the 1 loss Big12. Baylor, Ok St and TCU no way. Oklahoma has a decent OOC win where those 2 don't and if Oklahoma is the 1 loss team it's because they beat Oklahoma St, Baylor and TCU in consecutive weeks to finish the season.

Notre Dame will have the much better loss, and you have a small advantage in the SoS measure the committee is forced to use:

http://stats.ncaa.org/rankings?sport_code=MFB&division=11

Notre Dame is currently 31st in the SoS(use cumulative for the entire season SoS) and Oklahoma is 40th. That'll change a little, but doesn't seem to be enough difference.

So I think I would give you the slight edge, but it would be real close and depending on how Oklahoma won those 3 games they could jump you. Of course, how well you do against Stanford and the rest of your games will be important as well. Neither of you have the conference championship game for a bump.

Just realized that link just takes to a general page and can't link directly to the SoS rankings.

Click "Misc Reports", and then "Toughest Schedule" and go over to the very last column to the right and click the header and sort it with biggest number up front.
