Someone else can post when the games are happening, I want to comment on how ridiculous Sid continues to be, scoring twice on breakaways and setting up a pair of other goals.

The second breakaway goal was a thing of beauty. Hooked to the ice, but he sniped the snapper past the glove of Gibson for the goal. Whoosh.

Thanks for doing this thread today, it completely slipped my mind until just now.

Great game last night! Sid is en fuego!

One thing though...this team loves giving up goals late in a period. D still scares me but no Ian Cole! Anybody know what they did with him??? Team is better without him and love Pouliot's play

Scouty called him Sid instead of Skid! You know that's a great sign!

Doob, do you remember when we were talking about goals which show Sid at his best? This is that goal. There is no other goal which better demonstrates prime Sid. The speed, the strength, the puck control, that wicked accurate snapper, and the ability to continue a play even on his way to the ice.

It was a great goal, but this one is still my all time favorite...

That one's iconic, and certainly among his most iconic goals, but the one from last night, I think, was an illustration of more of Sid's skill set.
It kind of reminds me of the goal he had against the Islanders in 2013...

Tonight was frustrating. Felt like for most of the game, the Penguins carried the play, but the lack of scoring depth (specifically the Malkin injury in this one) made it too tough to beat Lundqvist, who was phenomenal tonight.

Some good plays by Connor Sheary tho, I think he's picking up on the NHL game. Could be a Mats Zuccarello type of player IMO.

When he stays on his feet, he's a fine player, but he's been so weak on his skates for most of his time in the NHL. The skill and speed and creativity are clearly there, but he spends way too much time sliding across the ice on his butt.

I felt the same about Mats Zuccarello during his first stint with the Rangers, once he learned to stay on his feet he became quite the sneaky scorer.

The Phil came up big last night, played his best game of the year, used his full skill set. I hope we see that The Phil for the rest of the season.

Wednesday night we couldn't buy a goal! Friday was better, though.
