Malkin cannot be happy with this roster...wonder how he will react thru the year? Pout or be driven...

I really hope Sid & Geno both fake injuries and sit out this season. There's no way we're legitimate title contenders with this roster.

Embrace the trash, Pens need a guy like him. Tanner Glass is a worse hockey player, and brings nothing to the team.

I just can't stand Downie, embracing him will be tough on me. But I'll probably suck it up

I agree it will be hard I just hope he keeps from living in the penalty box.

If he embraces his Doug Glatt role and doesn't do the stupid stuff I will be fine with it.


But then if he comes even a fraction of the player that Tocchet made him then it will be a great deal for the Penguins. Until the season starts I am not too warm and fuzzy about it.

So we have $6,430,833 in cap space. We still have to resign Brandon Sutter or else Craig Adams is our 3rd line center. Also gotta sign Nick Spaling or else trading away James Neal looks even more stupid. This team is going to suck this season.

Starting to look that way. Spaling is a RFA who is scheduled to go to arbitration on Thursday (31st) so we'll get him one way or the other. Its just a question of how much the Pens are going to pay. They really need to sign Sutter cuz Adams just won't cut it. From what I read Sutter wants a one year deal so he can play the free agent market next year, but the Pens want to lock him up long term.
