This game has a little bit of everything. PS, bad calls, waved off goals and now a scrap :boxing:

Geno, looks lost out there, but that's to be expected since he hasn't practiced at all with the team.

Survived the typical 3rd period and got the win.

At least we know they don't have to worry about scoring goals.

Great start. PK needs some fine tuning, but I'm loving the new approach. Especially their tactics of zone exit and entry. Looks 10x better than Disco's old ways.

When I went to the Pirate clincher in Atlanta, I understand the Brave fan's leaving early since their team was losing to beat traffic but I swear to you I saw Pirate fan's leave early and miss the celebration.

The only difference in Atlanta the traffic TRULY SUCKS and MARTA sucks bad if you are going north.

I know Pgh doesn't compare to Atlanta, but the traffic leaving Consol, even if you leave a bit earlier, is still a mess. IMO, if I'm paying my money to go, I'm staying till the end, no matter what, because the traffic isn't going to be that much better if you leave with like 5:00 left. I guess maybe if you left at the start of the 3rd, maybe then you'd get a jump on it:rollseyes:

Oh yeah I know right around the Consol is the worst and totally agree with you that 5 minutes isn't going to get you on the Parkway any faster and big flip instead of getting home at 10:30 you get home at 10:45.

I tell my kids no matter we stay until the end unless there is a family emergency.

Anyone else want to do the pregame analysis for the Penguins vs Maple Leafs? I'll do it if no one else wants to do it, but I don't want to hog all the pregame analysis. Figure it's a fun chance for us to learn about our opponents. IDK, it's up to you guys.

It's the corporate crowd in some regards, priced out a lot of fans at this point. The lower bowl is full of season tickets owned by companies, they give them out for free to their employees, no skin in the game. It's easy to leave early when you spent the entire night watching the game on TV in the captain morgan club.

I am going to state that keeping this as a yearlong game thread is gonna suck ass...when I come to the boards I love seeing a game specific thread from beginning to end...when you roll it into one long thread...I will not be able to do that since who would know where/when it starts on page (X) of some infinite number of pages...please reconsider:noidea:

That's something that I've noticed too. Its the lower level that seems to pack up first and head home, even when the game is still up for grabs. Got my son and daughter in law some nice tickets down low for a game last year. The said there were two young women sitting near them and all they did was text the whole game. Maybe the corporations could at least find people who are interested in hockey.
