The one thing he does well is go to the net. When playing with Crosby he doesn't need to be good in open ice and basically just do what Kunitz does and he does it well on top of having a good shot.

I have noticed he is quick to get back on offense and the slapshot he took in traffic had some speed on it. But Crosby has hit him twice in this period in open ice and he looked lost both times.


I haven't seen enough of him to make a fair decision on him, just a few things I noticed in this period.

Oh yeah it is too soon to fair decision. To be honest the change from Legwand to Crosby is huge and probably not used to having this much space and time vs having less as he did in Nashville. Half way through the year it will be interesting to see how it is going.

So far the Penguins game plan so far has been to score goals like it is the 80's.

And the bottom 6 is making the leafs look bad, not good when a 3rd/4th line beats your top lines on a fore check.

I hope it will but the more time Adams and Scuderi are given PK minutes the worse it will be. They are both too slow and can no longer compensate for being out of position or if others are out of position.

JVR out of frustration but in reality he should have done that in the 1st period to maybe wake the Leafs up.
