This game actually means something to both teams.
For the Fish, a win and an Oakland loss gets them the #5 Seed and they play the Houston Texans next week, rather than visiting the dreaded Steelers in Pittsburgh and playing in real weather.
As for the Patriots, a win guarantees the home field throughout the AFC Playoffs. A loss and an Oakland win relegates them to #2.
Word out there is that the Broncos will be giving all of their non starters a chance to show what they have and a chance to secure a roster spot in 2017. The Raiders are going to go hard for the win if the Patriots lose earlier in the day. What better way to make life miserable for the Patriots than to keep your stars away from possible injury and basically give a game away. Also gives you a better spot in the 2017 draft if you lose.
The Patriots have to get off quick and score a TD. Immediately change the way the Dolphins think about playing the game. Matt Moore is being hailed as a 'great' back up to Tannehill. He's had 6 TDs in the past two games. OF course one was a close call against the NY Jets and last week he threw 3 TDs against the Bills, but they needed OT for a 34-31 win.
The Dolphins have Suh and Wake up front and they can cause havoc. The proble is that the rest of the defense is 30th against the run and 30th Defense overall. This will be a Blount/Lewis afternoon with a sprinkle of Brady quick shots to Edelman and Hogan. Don't think Tom will be throwing down deep and getting the late shots from Suh.
