MISSION VIEJO, CALIF. — Some of the best athletes on the West Coast gathered Sunday to compete in the Under Armour All-America Camp’s L.A. tour stop for a chance to go to the Under Armour All-America Game.

Here is what I learned via observations and interviews.

Heard: Washington coming on strong
It was no surprise that among the elite players, USC is still far and away the top choice. It has been that way for almost their entire lives. But with Chip Kelly taking over at UCLA, I thought I would hear more about the Bruins. Instead, I heard Washington, Washington, and more Washington. Chris Petersen and his staff are slowly building something special in Seattle. I had Washington as one of my four favorite classes in 2018, and that could continue for 2019. We’ll see how UCLA and Oregon do as their new staffs get more footing.

I don'tknow. I think he was a major reason you didn't have a shot against Alabama two seasons ago and I think he's pretty much then same QB since then with the same flaws.

I'm not a big Jake Browning fan myself. Fine kid, great attitude but he wilts under pressure more times than naught.

The thing is he had Ross to stretch the field which allowed him to do most of his damage. He needs a deep threat or teams will bum rush him.

He had it made with Ross and Pettis at WR. Ross would get double teamed and that left Pettis one on one. Those days are gone. The bs part of it is a lot of UW fans blame the WR corps when UW has some prime WR's in their stable. I'd like to see a more mobile QB after Browning leaves. Someone who can throw on the run.

I believe they have found that "field stretcher" again.....Sssshhh don't tell anyone...
