Jagr can still be effective if used properly. Don't play him 20+ minutes, use him as a PP specialist etc. He's too cool to not have in the league.

Does this make Duchene expendable?

Asking for a friend.

yah ... i wondered if Kerfoot was told something we all didnt know :spy:

/Greg Buttons has said Kerfoot is a bottom 6 forward at best ... so if Avs plan to ship Duchene out and give Kerfoot his icetime ... well ... lol

Joe Sakic appears to be continuing the trend of fantastic player being a terrible coach/GM.

Translated:

Jaromir Jágra's most likely new address in the NHL is currently Saddledome in Calgary!

lol - One of the replies to the above tweet (translated) is "the oldest player in the league should play at the oldest building"

they were saying in the cesspool that Sakic was the key to convincing Kerfoot to sign with the Avs ... wonder if he told Kerfoot about how he never wanted to play in his hometown when he was in the league and the thought process on that ... with Kerfoot coming from such a media/spotlight averse family (his father is the hermit owner of the whitecaps who never makes a peep), I dont think he would have needed much convincing

I don't know about Jagr coming to Calgary, he's not looking that good - Image below taken from twitter.

The number 68 will soon be significant for Jammy Jagr for more than just political reasons.

Give me team #27, The Big 'M'', Darryl Sittler, and Jeremy Roenick up front, Scott Niedermayer and Alex Pietrangelo on D, and Ron Hextall between the pipes, that'll do nicely.

I haven't clicked it yet, do they actually include goalies? That kind of messes with things I would think.

Hell, even non-goalie numbers are still kind of positional. It's of course a silly and meaningless thing, but I kind of hate seeing forwards wearing 2 to 6 inclusive (for instance).

The article starts talking about the best numbers in hockey and as you likely guessed, "9", "4", and "7" are featured prominently at the start. The only problem is no goalies have worn that number, so DGB gives some love to other numbers that goalies have worn.
