If you're going to bet the Oilers at least do a parlay with Leafs Oilers final and Las Vegas making the playoffs.

Do you really think the Stars are all that much worse than the Wild, Habs, Rangers and Leafs?

Keep in mind they just signed a goalie who's a year removed from being a Vezina nominee and have a lottery pick they can dangle in trade to improve whatever else they want.

Think it's fair.

Also gonna back putting the Oil that high. They have the best player in the West, one of the best goalies, their younger defencemen will have gained a year of experience including two playoff rounds, they play in the weakest division in hockey at the moment, suddenly have a lot of assets that they could potentially move to improve parts of their team (Eberle, Pully, 1st round pick, RNH maybe finally possibly).

Think it’s fair.

It might be fair, but now teams are going to realize they're no longer the free space on the Bingo card. Also, will the league give the easiest back-to-back schedule this season where they faced a tired team 19 times like they did last season?

Maybe, but at some point the Pens and Caps and Hawks etc. were free spaces on the bingo cards. At some point it’s going to be nigh on impossible for teams to slow down McDavid, Draisaitl etc. no matter what they try. Combine that with the fact that the west is currently littered with aging creaky teams and long-term rebuild projects, I don’t hate their chances.

As for the back to backs, I’d also point out Edmonton flies the most miles in the NHL on a regular basis so I don’t really hold that against them.

One long shot I don’t hate is Winnipeg. At somepoint they’re going to have to do something to get over the hump. If Chevy finally starts wheeling and dealing their odds could wind up being a lot less attractive.

Might have to bet the inlaws’ winter house in Florida.

I got 100%.

Was a too easy with them making it multiple choice. And like 9 of the answers had Tretiak as a choice. Hint: He isn't the answer to any of them.

Can You Name These NHL Goalies?

Pens at 9-1 is as good a bet as there is in the East. Unless Murray gets hurt.

Hey Tampa Bay, we give you Kovy and a random pick, you give us Drouin and we'll take Coburn's contract off your books. Deal?

That's pretty awesome.

But I did see a story where after this year, Ted Lindsey and Gordie Howe's names will no longer be on the cup. The ring that gets removed to put next year's winner on is the last on with those names on it.

That's kinda sad.

Just blame the Penguins next year. :behindsofa:

The Penguins are now tied with the Oil for most Cups by a non-original six team.

/One more than the Rangers and one less than the Bruins/Hawks.
