Ya see? Why buy him out? You could just trade him for Erik Karlsson. Might have to add a 2018 2nd rounder because Girardi is coming off a bit of a down year but no need for a buyout here.

In addition to this, Bob also saying there's smoke around Galchenyuk. Wonder if these two are related? Wondering WTF the Rangers would do at centre though unless this is pointing more towards a tear-down.

Well, I'm pretty sure the Rangers would do a Nash, Lundquist, for Werenski trade...

They'd pretty much have to move the Rangers to Columbus and let them play at tOSU.

I didn't realize that Carey Price is UFA after this year. I can see Montreal pulling all kinds of stupid to "go for it now".

Gotta love the fact they don't do a fucking thing for years to get better then now, like you say, they'll likely go stupid.

One funny suggestion I heard yesterday was Price playing out the year then joining Nashville to replace Pekka.
