On a scale of 1 to 10, how upset are you with soccer has established itself in America?

With the Hispanic population set to be the majority in the next few decades and you white Americans wanting to turn America into Europe, soccer will tear apart at the insular fabric that is the American sports culture. How upsetting is this to you?

Very true...not just Hispanics, but America is becoming more and more "brown" vs black and white...that said...I don't care...I never played the sport as a kid and have very little interest in it aside from the WC, but I'll likely be dead and gone by the time soccer takes over the top mantle here...if it ever does.

OP has no idea how to read a graph :L

Idiot using a graph of global sales to make a point about soccer being established in the US. Good grief you Canadians are stupid.

Wasn't this graph already discussed in detail on an earlier thread. They didn't include any college sport revenue, so the football revenue is comparing 32 nfl teams to several hundred soccer teams located throughout Europe and the rest of the world.

I love how people feel they need to be on the attack because soccer is slowly gaining traction in the States.

You know, soccer fans wouldn't be taking so much shit on the board if one person (bconngemini) didn't flood the water cooler with six different threads talking about how popular soccer is.

I personally have no problem with soccer growing in popularity. It is a sport I have a lot of respect for, even if I don't follow it. I would rather SPN showing soccer than the spelling bee or hold em. I will be upset when soccer replaces football on my TV in the fall.

Non soccer fans wouldn't even see it if they weren't looking for it as they don't go around the football, baseball, or basketball boards throwing soccer in other people's faces.

If you don't want to see soccer snobs saying things like that, then stop opening soccer related threads. It's really that simple.

Those fans are normally responding to idiots who like to post on soccer threads telling everyone how much they hate soccer or how gay/lame/boring it is.
