I highly doubt soccer will ever surpass football in the United States, but if the US team ever makes it to a World Cup Final or dare I say ever WIN A WORLD CUP (my heart just skipped a beat), soccer could easily leap frog over baseball, hockey and possibly even basketball.

Honestly...it all starts with the product in the US. And at this point the MLS (while improved) is still a mediocre product. I grew up on soccer, but even I have a hard time watching MLS soccer sometimes. It's just not a great product. People pay money to watch the best of the best and simply the MLS is just a minor league compared to the English premier leagues.

How would I feel? Welp, as long as it didn't cut into showing other sports, I'd be okay with it. I don't watch a ton of college football and it hasn't ruined my life or anything, so soccer would be alright I guess.

I'd probably make fun of the flopapalooza that goes on in that game at about the same rate as I do with basketball... which is sparingly.
