The dead period lifted today and Nebraska will host visitors this weekend. With 20 current commits Nebraska could take as many as 6 more players in this class. Here's who's visiting this weekend:
Mikale Wilbon: 4-Star RB (Wilbon was on Nebraska's radar early in the process and impressed at multiple camps and events throughout the summer. He had a leg injury hamper him in his senior year so he didn't get to put up the numbers he was hoping to. Wilbon committed to James Franklin and Vandy in the Summer but shortly after Franklin left for PSU Wilbon decommitted from Vandy and reopened his recruitment. Nebraska swooped in swiftly and offered him a Scholarship and now the 5'9" 195 lb RB will be visiting this weekend. Nebraska sees a lot of Ameer Abdullah in Wilbon and would definitely take him and Ballage if they could.)
Deion Hallmon: 3-Star CB (Hallmon has long been on Nebraska's radar and he just recently chose to visit. It's an odd situation because Terry Joseph is no longer with the program but Hallmon was teammates with Boaz Joseph and really likes Nebraska. In an odd twist Nebraska could get his commitment even without a position coach currently on staff but it would be beneficial to at least have a name they could tell him about this weekend. Hallmon will be visiting Temple next week and has already visited Syracuse and Northern Illinois. Nebraska has a great shot here. Hallmon is an odd duck though having 30+ offers with more than half of them being BCS offers (offers from FSU, UW, Arkansas etc...) but has only Nebraska, Temple and Syracuse as BCS considerations at the moment.
Desean Blair: 3-Star WR (Blair has been a long time Louisville commit but with the exit of Charlie Strong chose to open his recruitment back up. Nebraska took Jariah Tolbert last week in a surprise move but with the scholarships open Nebraska could definitely pick up another outside WR. Blair is faster than Tolbert and more polished but will need to add weight to fit on the outside in this offense. Nebraska will try to get him to flip his commitment this weekend and cancel his visit to Louisville next week.)
Chris Jones: 3-Star CB (Jones has been committed to Purdue since December 17th but has seince been reached out to by Rich Fisher. Jones is a teammate of Desean Blair and will be visiting this weekend. He's 6'0" 175lbs and is a pure corner. Some place might take him as a WR but he really seems like a pure corner to me. He visited Purdue on Dec. 6th and committed a few weeks later if he and Desean like Nebraska I could see them joining forces in Lincoln for 2014. Nebraska would most definitely still take Hallmon.)
