I wish the Military Appreciation game was later in the season. Half the stadium is in camo on those cold November nights anyway. September I want my maroon tees.

The earlier we wear attention-grabbing uniforms, the more recruits are still available that will see them. Let's be honest, recruiting is a huge reason teams wear these alternate uniforms.

Not enough camo. Personally, I think its a lazy effort. It's basically a blank white jersey with camo numbers.

I think it's a good look, especially with the helmets. You don't want overkill. The Maryland military jerseys look retarded.

This is kind of wrong, but I feel like some people will enjoy this.

I got a job offer from Magna Powertrains. Now I have to decide between two pretty good job offers. Its a pretty good dilemma to have. While I would make less money with the government job, I would be making more money in three years and the benefits are insane. I would also be pretty far away. However, I am really excited about what Magna Powertrains does. They also seemed to be really excited for me to be there, gave me a really good tour and showed me what I would be doing. I would be pretty far away from Blacksburg and Richmond though.

I have to decide by Friday.

I am in a very similar situation, or will be shortly, if all goes as planned. Good luck!

Congrats on the offers. I would steer clear of a gov job.

Good luck! My advice would be to look at 3 things primarily. You'll want to be 1) doing something you enjoy, 2) in a work environment you can enjoy, 3) in a location you can enjoy outside of work.

I can tell you this much regarding Military acquisition. Its a HUGE field. and the Civil Servants hold much power in the field. Many leverage their education and experience gained while working for military acquisition to jump to private industry for some really big bucks.

And, 13 days annual leave for the first three years, along with 13 days sick leave annually. After 3 years, annual leave jumps to 20 days.

One thing to look into is flexible work week, in which, over a two week pay period, you work 9 hours a day for 8 days, 8 hours for 1 day (total 80), and you get the tenth day off, every two weeks, for another 26 days off per year.

And, depending where you are, if on an Army base, gym priviliges. Can run daily and not cut into your hours to do so, since PT is strongly encouraged at every command.

Good luck man
