Just finished Capote for free on OnDemand. 4/5 stars. Slow burn, but great story-telling. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hoffman is truly a great fucking actor. RIP

Well, @jvett77, I finally got around to watching The Godfather Part II. As you know, I did not enjoy the first one (to the tune of 2/5 stars), but this second one I thoroughly enjoyed. Al Pacino portrayed a ruthless mobster, and I can honestly say my favorite part of the movie was De Niro's portrayal of the young Vito Corleone. It is only the second movie that I've seen with RDN in which I thoroughly enjoyed De Niro's presence (the other being Heat). I still don't get the "greatest movie of all time" hype, but at least I did enjoy this movie, unlike the first one. 3.5/5 stars.

P.S.

@Cedrique I rented another certain Robert De Niro movie from Amazon that I am about to watch...

Glad you liked it, Omar. DeNiro is awesome. Heat, yes. You also gotta see Taxi Driver featuring psycho RDN.

Motherfucker!!! I knew I wouldn't like a movie with over 3 hours of stupid-face Robert fucking De Niro. Once Upon a Time in America- 1.5/5 stars. The childhood scenes were good, but that was about all. Slow plot, boring dialogue, and TWO fucking r*pe scenes? What the fuck! Also, I'm a feminist by no means, but this movie was very misogynistic. The main two girls, the fat one and the pretty one, were pretty much just whores who would suck your dick to get anything. De Niro should have just OD'd at that opium den in the beginning so we wouldn't have to see the rest of the movie.

(My last sentence makes no sense, as De Niro was at his oldest chronological age at that den, so we still would have seen everything else. The movie just would have ended with him dying)

The Hateful 8. The most fun I've ever had at a movie theater at any point in my life. Flirted with 5 star territory for a while but finishes with 4.5/5 stars. Awesome freaking movie

Natural Born Killers. The first 45 minutes were all over the place, and largely boring. But the interview and jail break scenes were fucking awesome. Harrelson was great, as usual, but Downey particularly shined as the sleazy TV man who discovers the adrenaline rush of killing. Tommy Lee Jones was good, but I can't help feeling Gary Oldman would have been better in the role. 3.5/5 stars.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Star Wars for a more recent generation with some recycled unoriginal events like the destruction of the Death Star. Solid acting and reappearance of aged Leia and Solo was good. I can't give a better assessment because after about an hour I fell asleep for 15 minutes (not because of the movie, I don't think, lol). I'll have to see it again.

Wait, how? I thought it didn't come out for another week or two
Ok, so I didn't actually see it yet, but it's got DeNiro in it so you know it's going to be great......

I just feel left out because I haven't seen any movies lately. Maybe I should check with Dondrell. He usually has some bootleg VHS tapes
