It's a black swan event thing - low probability but huge cost (a human life). If it happens once, the league has a permanent black eye

Did you take the short bus to school?I'm pretty sure in the entire history of the NFL the grand total is zero. Do I have a point? Yes, even if something is very scary five decades of no fatalities should be evidence enough that the game should continue. A black widow might sneak in and bite me on my balls if I fall asleep in front of the TV. Maybe they need to take that potential hazard into consideration. It really is probably more likely for someone to get killed in a boredom related death like alcohol poisoning or fighting during the delay.
I knew I'd get that reaction. It's incredible to me. Even zero occurrences isnt enough to squelch irrational fears. There's probably been at least one person to drown in a toilet at a game.
yeah well, according to another 70s myth, it never rains in SoCal either. But I can tell you after living here for the last year+, that too is BS!^^^ And Thunder only happens when it's raining

you have to ask?Did you take the short bus to school?

Never seen anyone die from lightning but a friend in the early 00s dove into a nacho/pretzel cheese barrel and never came out alive. It's why they come all pre-packed or in super small quantities now. Only death I've witnessed first hand. Can't remember the team against the Hawks. Think it was the Eagles or something and he mentioned showing Eagles fans 'what a true Cheese sandwich is like.' Guys name was Brad 'The Yellow Dart' Jacobs.
I thought I would go look up all the examples of lightning strikes injuring players and fans alike in Texas alone but after reading through the thread I've come to the conclusion that the OP is a fucking idiot and no amount of evidence will change his moronic perspective.
I'll help. Texas NFL lightning deaths total zero.
Cowboys Games: 0
Oilers Games: 0
Texans Games: 0
Actually that goes for home and away games.
