Playing in a mid-major conference, you shouldn't get a 1 seed unless you run the table any way.

A mid major conference doesn't have 40% of their teams as annual tourney teams nearly every year.

As a Nebraska fan I know sustained success is foreign to you, but try and keep up.

Yeah what i just said is correct.

hmmmm...annual tourney participants in the current big east...

nova and georgetown i guess...stretching it with marquette and xavier...thats 4/10, not a strong case if you're counting on xavier and marquette to make it yearly...

Kinda hard to call a conference a mid-major when there's like 18 final fours from the teams in it.

Even if you could argue that, the term has lost much of its meaning. A 'mid-major' could be the overall # 1 seed this year and was last year. Oh, and Bulter, and VCU, and George Mason, yada ,yada ...

Marquette while needing to win the BE tourney now has made it 8 straight years

And was the only BE team since they joined to finish .500 or better in conference and make the tourney every year.

Try again

Since 2001 Xavier missed in 2013 and 2005 that's it.

Again. Good try. But 40% of the league can be counted on to continually build tourney caliber teams.

Factor in the recruiting of Providence, Creighton and SJU then you have 3 teams that can cover for down years from the core 4.

It's also about TV contracts.

Big recruits will come to Providence and St Johns and Seton Hall because they'll get to be on National TV.

Yeah prov and seton hall have been trending in a great direction with recruiting here.

Lavin just needs to figure out meshing all his talent.

Hell if DePaul can get someone like Howland they are in a recruiting gold mine. Just have had horrible coaching.

THIS year, it's a mid major conference. If you think it isn't, you haven't been paying attention.

Of course NORMALLY the big east is good, but in the first year of the new big east they are pretty shitty dude
