I agree that these days the award almost always goes to a QB and perhaps it should. It is after all by far the most important position in team sports. But I have to also admit that McCaffrey has arguably been the league's most consistent player this year. That should stand for something at least.

Lamar will win but it won’t be unanimous. I can see CMAC getting around 5-10 votes.

Doubt we ever see another unanimous winner. They changed the voting process last year.

Safe to assume Lamar will go down as the last man to win MVP unanimously.

He and Brady are currently the only ones to have accomplished that feat.

He's had a few so-so games, but in 12 of them he's averaged a minimum of 4.5 YPC. That along with 67 receptions,14 total TDs, and moving the chains 114 times tells me he's pretty consistent and certainly worthy of being included in the MVP discussion.

I think Jackson pretty much locked it up today. He had a monster game following beating the Niners. And CMC did fine, but very pedestrian for him.
