I don't understand that particular tradedown, but hope it makes more sense soon....

no we drafted a Safety. Yes he will play some CB but needs to learn the position first.

Dude, he played all over the place at NIU. He lined up with the slot receivers all the time.. You need to read more and stop looking at the S label that ESPN gives him...

Not sure I like that trade. It sounds a lot worst than the one they made with Denver. We don't really need the 5th rounder.

That's what I'm saying. Stay put and pick Moncrief or your best rated CB or OLB. They mush have supreme confidence in the depth of this area of the draft.

no we have needs and didn't draft any of them. We draft another RB for no reason and a safety who won't start for at least 2 years. Waste to me.

Are you paying attention? He will play the slot corner who plays about 60% of the time. That is not a waste of a pick. Gore is on his last legs, Latimore coming off major injuries, and Hunter is not an every down back. If Latimore is not ready, who is going to back up Gore asides from Hunter? You have to look beyond 2014.

1m So if I am correct, #49ers are now picking at 70, 77, 94, and 100 in third round. #100 pick is compensatory.

Great minds think alike because I *just* refreshed the thread to double check before I posted this myself :)

and I agree the depth was in the 2-4th rounds. The 3rd is a perfect location to load up and still get picks for next year and players for this year in Stevie J.

Baalke knows what he is doing most of the time.

We still have WRs and Dbs on the clock when we pick.

Hey moron: like half the people on this board have pointed out that Ward is going to play nickel corner, which was arguably our biggest need. He will play over half the snaps in that role. That's how Aldon Smith started out. Seems that pick worked out.

Gore and Hunter are both free agents after this season.

We did not win with these players the last 3 years, they want to get paid and you need to replace that with depth.
