not Howie... Jalens character issues. And because Alshon voiced displeasure that doesn’t mean he thinks Howie is a bad GM? Howie likes to use low picks on good players that are near FA. He likes to underpay. Like I said, I really wanted Jalen but 100 million, two firsts and a 4th is a TON for a non QB. Not to mention the Eagles are an older roster and need to infuse the lineup with some young low contract players. You’ve already said he was a good GM and the proof is in his recent success.

But again... Alshon never said he was a bad GM. He said he was disappointed that they didn’t give up two 1sts a 4th and a 100 million to a guy with character issues. Alshon doesn’t give a crap about down the road. He’s an Eagle for a year and a half longer. He isn’t worried about losing the future picks.
I’m torn. We are so tremendously bad at CB and I think we really needed him but I hate and I repeat HATE not having a 1st round pick. And to not have any for two straight drafts is tough. Especially since the Eagles are old. Maybe we could grab a Patrick Peterson for less.

oh... and we are one Carson Wentz injury away from it being a top 10 pick. Not that Wentz ever gets hurt or anything

I agree. There are still some quality moves to be made so I’m not passing judgement until the trading deadline.

Just guessing here, but maybe Howie couldn't pull the trigger seeing what his contract demands could be and where they're at with future cap space they may or may not have.

Hey Dallas fans, how do you feel about the Dallas Goedert draft selection again? How about Sidney Jones?

Huh? Do you even know who says what? Here are your thoughts on Jones. I've always said how good I thought he was:

I think Sidney Jones might be a bust personally, but I like how some of the other young guys are coming along. Hopefully Jones is better another year removed from injury. I think he lost his swagger as a player.

As far as Goedert goes the comments that I recall were based on an Eagles fan calling him a superstar and how he was so much better than any Cowboy TE and how he would put up big numbers this season and others making stupid comments like Philly stole him from Dallas when Dallas wasn't going to even take him. His stat line this year: 54-542-5. That's about the same across the board as Witten and 11 yards per game more than our #2 Blake Jarwin.

Goedert is still young, but he has a chance to be very good IMO. He's been coming on of late, like Wentz, which is great. Dallas players meanwhile seem to be fading in crunch time after putting up stats on the likes of the Dolphins.

Wentz now has 26 TDs just like Dak, but fewer INTs and a slightly lower QB rating. Their stats are amazingly similar overall. But one is trending up, the other down.
