I'm pulling my hair out thinking about SD selling out and just moving to LA when they are perfectly capable of building a new stadium.

Is the Skins stadium really in that bad of shape? It's one of the better looking ones with a big capacity....

Now that's a scary thought.......Of all of the scenarios being bandied about, not one has considered a move like that from Mr. Snyder. Maybe he won't be happy with ANY of the negotiations here and consider (or use) a big move to get what he wants. Granted he's no Art Modell, but business is business. Imagine the (Insert name of new state or city in that state here) R's.

Would it cause you to adopt the Ravens at that point Sty?? And honestly I dont think Snyder would move them out of the DMV area. But I also dont think he will let himself be bullied into changing the name so that the team can play in DC again.

JKC paid for Fedex out of his own pocket. And as for giving up the name i order to move back into the city... I hope Snyder gives em the Johnny finger. :)

I suspect that wherever it's constructed, he's gonna want to rival or exceed J. Jones structure. Sheer economics indicate that inside of the city is option #1. Option #2 would be to rent as the Vikings have done and rebuild on the current site. Of course extra-structure would have to be redone to allow for easier access and parking. Hotels and other amenities built to invite a "Yes" vote from the SB committee. Option #3 would be No. Va. Further out option #4.

Dude I agree with everything you have said, how ever if it come down to lose the name to get back into the city... screw the city option. And yea I admit it... I like being politically incorrect.

Naw, my current position is that with all of the PC rule changes the game is becoming more and more difficult to watch. As it currently stands I only watch Washington games and maybe one more IF there is some compelling reason to do so. At this rate I'll probably stop watching {football} such as it is altogether anyway. I've got better things to do than to watch a game of pass and catch. I can do that with my grandson(s).

Yeah man, for us politically correct/incorrect are what we have, we debate it, argue, and even use it to slam one another. Truth is if we had millions if not billions riding on our taking one of the three choices (politically correct....incorrect or business) I'm betting that we'll unanimously damn the former and its' opposite and go with that latter without hesitation. Allow the pundits and blogs to work out if we sold out or not with the knowledge that either way anything (one) that we've lost we've gained more of on the other end.

Cant speak for any one else. But I know for a fact, politically correct and make more, or be myself and move on... i have moved on many times because politically correct just didnt sit well with me. I have left or turned jobs down because the employer felt I had to hide my tats. I have also left jobs because i suspected the company was keeping minorities on just to fill the EEOC quota. And something tells me Snyder wont go broke because he decides to keep the name and tell DC to frag off. And if he caves on the name simply to get back into the city, I would loose what little respect I have for him.

Can't really debate anything that you've said.....much respect for standing for principal in your life experiences. I'll have a lot more respect for Mr. Snyder if does the same on the whole name issue, my position not withstanding. He said NEVER...I expect NEVER! Build the new stadium wherever he pleases, but change the name/or not because of principal not for any business interest as I suspect he eventually will.

The problem with SD is that it is a geographic nightmare. You have Mexico to the South, desert to the east & a large stretch of ocean. It just does not have that great of a fan base in the immediate area. LA has a much larger population to draw from. However - there are problems with LA including the fact that a lot of folks would not be that passionate about the local team - they either root for teams from their original home (Redskins, Steelers, etc) or are they are more passionate about the baseball & basketball teams (or college teams).

Fed Ex has never really been that good since day 1. It was always too big & the views from some of the cheaper seats are horrible. It also does not really lend itself to having a good, loud crowd experience like you see at other stadiums. I also believe that if they moved elsewhere they would not have a problem getting a huge amt of $$ for the land to either be used for commercial or residential development or possibly even a casino.

The current stadium lease expires in 2027, Dan Snyder is NOT going to wait until then to first build then apply for a SB. I believe that this thing is being fast tracked for a time period within the next 4-5 years. Maybe sooner. That said, let's not underestimate Mr. Snyders' desire to bring a SB to the area and potentially the Olympic games. It screams DC.....DC.......DC! (old RFK site) but I'm convinced by others here that the whole name change thing eliminates that possibility.

The problem with the RFK site are access and parking. Unless he also buys the old DC general site and levels it for parking. ( what are they doing with that space these days any way). And access was a nightmare to that area on a good day. Could you imagine the cluster of a monday night game considering that is (or atleast was when I lived there) a major exodus point.

I'm still shocked that Atlanta is building a new dome. The Georgia Dome is 20 years old, for crying out loud! And I think the Washington "American Indians" don't need new digs, either.

Some times you dont need a new house, you just want something different and a little bit better. I dont fault JKC for his vision. But Fedex has been a fail for the most part from day one. My hope is that what ever Dan does, we get a bit more of the old feel from RFK. I think where JKC missed the mark is he distanced the fans from the action a bit too much. And Im surprised Dan doesnt just bite the bullet and do a redesign of the entire lower bowl seating area.
