I like the idea of hiring a former Bama player but it seems risky and unnecessary for Bama to hire an OC that doesn't have any OC experience.

I'm starting to feel the same way. The writing was kinda on the wall during bowl prep that Nuss wasn't getting it done and bringing in Kiffin just kinda spring boarded him on to Saban's radar. I'd be okay with it if he doesn't get us in trouble and if he anyone can keep him in line it's Saban.
